Neil Young To Stream Live Concert From ‘Secret’ Canadian Location On December 1, 2017

It’s being billed as a “once-in-a-lifetime event,” as Canadian rock legend Neil Young “comes home” for an intimate concert, live from a “secret” location somewhere in Canada on December 1, 2017.

The Canadian rocker and singer-songwriter will perform an hour-plus-long concert in front of a tiny, intimate live audience on a stage somewhere in Canada. It has been widely rumoured that the concert will be streamed live from Young’s childhood home of Omemee, Ontario. The 72-year-old rocker lived in Omemee from ages 4 to 11.

The Secret Is Out OF The Bag

On Thursday, Kawartha Lakes announced parking restrictions and road closures from 6 p.m to 12 a.m., in Omemee to accommodate a special event on Friday, December 1. The city said the OPP will be onsite to ensure a safe environment for those attending, participating or directly affected by the event by ensuring an orderly movement of pedestrians and motor vehicles throughout the event.

Neil Young, live from somewhere in Canada will stream exclusively in Canada on, CTV GO, and Facebook, on Friday, December 1 at 8 p.m. ET. Fans will be able to access the livestream without a cable subscription.

Amanda Lang Returning To BNN In January 2018

Award-winning business journalist and anchor Amanda Lang is set to rejoin Business News Network (BNN) in January.

“I’m extremely excited to return home to BNN, where I originally began my career in Canadian broadcasting,” Lang said in a statement.

In addition to her role on BNN, Lang will also report for other Bell Media properties including CTV News and iHeartRadio.

Lang was part of the team that launched BNN’s predecessor, ROBTV, in 1999, after her start in journalism at The Globe and Mail and then the National Post.

In 2009, Lang left BNN to join the CBC as its senior business correspondent where she anchored The Exchange with Amanda Lang daily on CBC News Network.

On October 13, 2015, CBC announced Lang was leaving the public broadcaster effective 16 October, for what was described at the time as “a new opportunity outside the CBC in television.”

Most recently she worked as an anchor for Bloomberg Television Canada.
