Skippy Peanut Butter No Longer Available In Canada

Skippy peanut butter lovers in Canada are literally going nuts over a decision by Hormel Foods to discontinue the spread in Canada.

Canadian Fans of the product are taking to Twitter to complain, while others are hoarding up on the remaining jars to squirrel away for a rainy day.

Hormel discontinued both the crunchy and smooth versions of the product in Canada back in September, 2016. It’s been quietly disappearing from shelves across the country ever since.

Skippy took to Twitter to defended its decision to pull the product out of Canada:

“We’re sad to say SKIPPY® was discontinued in Canada b/c there weren’t enough devoted lovers like you out there. Thanks for being a fan!”

If you’re desperate for your Skippy fix, you can always pop over to Amazon Canada, where you can find jars of Skippy peanut butter selling for $10 to well over $100.
