Small Plane Crash Lands At Hillside Cemetery In Medicine Hat, Alberta

A cemetery in Medicine Hat, Alberta came to life Saturday night after a pilot was forced to crash land at the Hillside Cemetery, about one kilometre short of the airport.

The pilot, a 64-year-old local man, suffered serious, but non life-threatening injuries, according Sgt. Jeff Wieschorster, of the Medicine Hat Police Service.

An investigator with the Transportation Safety Board plans to talk with the pilot Sunday to determine what went wrong.

The cemetery sustained minor damage during the crash.
